NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.52 per cent up at 9,171.75 around 10:28 am on Tuesday with all its components trading in the green.Shares of Mahindra Mahindra (up 3.43 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 3.42 per cent), TVS Motor Company (up 2.84 per cent) and Motherson Sumi Systems (up 2.49 per cent), were the top gainers in the index.
Apollo Tyres (up 2.38 per cent), Bosch (up 2.18 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries (up 1.85 per cent) and MRF (up 1.59 per cent) too, were among top performers.Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 87.10 points at 10,599.6, while BSE Sensex was up 319.36 points at 35,184.46 at that time.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.
Shares of Ashok Leyland, SBI, YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, Infosys, ITC, LT Fin Holding, IndusInd Bank, HPCL, Idea Cellular, Hindalco Inds.
and ONGC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
