NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index was trading 0.18 per cent up at 14,824.35 around 11:19 am on Tuesday with its components trading on a mixed note.
Shares of NIIT Technologies (up 2.24 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 1.03 per cent), Tata Elxsi (up 0.99 per cent), Infosys (up 0.77 per cent) and MindTree (up 0.65 per cent), were the top gainers in the index.
HCL Technologies (down 0.95 per cent), Wipro (down 0.59 per cent), Infibeam Avenues (down 0.47 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.36 per cent),appeared among the laggards.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 63.30 points at 10,575.8, while BSE Sensex was up 276.93 points at 35,142.03 at that time.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Ashok Leyland, SBI, YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, Infosys, IndusInd Bank and LT Fin Holding were among most traded shares on the NSE.
