NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 176.89 points down at 33,957.49 on Tuesday around 09:25 am on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of Atishay (down 19.35 per cent), Wall Street Finance (down 17.86 per cent), Restile Ceramic (down 14.00 per cent), Thangamayil Jewellery (down 12.86 per cent), G V Films (down 11.59 per cent), Paramount Communications (down 11.36 per cent) and Everest Organics (down 11.05 per cent),were among the worst performers.
Orient Press (down 10.92 per cent), WEP Solutions (down 10.82 per cent) and Kamadgiri Fashion (down 10.27 per cent) too declined around 10 per cent at around the same time.
In the Nifty pack, 13 stocks were trading in the green, while 37 stocks were in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 70.35 points down at 10,174.9.
