NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank was trading 0.61 per cent down at 24,911.3 around 10:06 am on Thursday with most of its components trading in red.
Shares of State Bank of India (down 1.64 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.49 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 1.46 per cent), Federal Bank (down 1.41 per cent) and IDFC Bank (down 1.13 per cent), were the top losers in the index.RBL Bank (down 0.99 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.88 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.33 per cent)too appeared among top laggards.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 90.45 points at 10,134.3 while BSE Sensex was down 309.55 points at 33,724.41 at that time.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 6 were trading in the green, while 44 were in the red.
Shares of LT Fin Holding, YES Bank, SBI, Wipro, Idea Cellular, HPCL, RIL, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, Indian Oil Corp and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
