NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index was trading 0.99 per cent up at 14,615.35 around 10:35 am on Tuesday with its components trading on a mixed note.Shares of Infibeam Avenues (up 3.22 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (up 1.87 per cent), MindTree (up 1.54 per cent) and Infosys (up 0.94 per cent) clocked decent gains.
Tata Elxsi (down 0.94 per cent), NIIT Technologies (down 0.72 per cent) and Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.56 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 42.60 points at 10,566.6 while BSE Sensex was up 164.31 points at 35,115.23 at that time.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of SBI, Tata Motors, Vedanta, YES Bank, Cipla, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Ashok Leyland, Idea Cellular and RIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
