NEW DELHI: The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.09 per cent down at 28,733.35 around 12:58 pm on Friday with most of its components trading in the red.
Shares of Tata Global Beverages (down 1.28 per cent), Procter Gamble Hygiene Healthcare (down 1.06 per cent), Emami (down 1.01 per cent) and ITC (down 0.96 per cent) were the top losers in the index.GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (down 0.69 per cent), Godrej Consumer Products (down 0.67 per cent) and United Spirits (down 0.58 per cent) too were trading in the red.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 11.20 points at 10,587.2 while BSE Sensex was down 61.91 points at 35,175.77 at that time.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, Ashok Leyland, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, ITC, Idea Cellular, HPCL, NHPC, Infosys, RIL, Hindalco Inds.
and Bharti Airtel were among the most traded shares on the National Stock Exchange.
