NEW DELHI: The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.12 per cent up at 28,765.2 around 12:51 pm on Monday with most its components trading in the green.
Shares of Tata Global Beverages (up 3.20 per cent), United Spirits (up 1.49 per cent), Dabur India (up 1.05 per cent) and Godrej Consumer Products (up 0.89 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
Emami (up 0.64 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (up 0.57 per cent) and United Breweries (up 0.57 per cent) too were trading with decent gains.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 2.75 points at 10,582.45 while BSE Sensex was 43.97 points at 35,114.58 at that time.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, SBI, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Titan Company, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Vedanta, HPCL, Cipla, Motherson Sumi, Tata Steel, Idea Cellular, SAIL and Indian Oil Corp were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
