NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 224.80 points up at 35,737.94 on Wednesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.Shares Hotel Leela (up 19.62 per cent), Patspin India (up 19.46 per cent), Sintex Plastics Technology (up 17.14 per cent), Godawari Power (up 14.31 per cent), Vadilal Industries (up 13.75 per cent), Prime Focus (up 13.46 per cent), Winsome Textile (up 12.25 per cent), Valson Industries (up 12.24 per cent) and Garnet International (up 11.88 per cent) of were among the top performers.
Patel Engineering (up 5.43 per cent), 8K Miles software services (up 5 per cent) and Kwality Limited (up 5 per cent) too were trading around 5 per cent higher at around the same time.
The Nifty 50 index was trading 48.70 points up at 10,734.30.Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 28 shares were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.
