NEW DELHI: YES Bank with over 2.80 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Friday.Shares of PC Jeweller (number of shares traded: 1.75 crore), Motherson Sumi (number of shares traded: 1.17 crore), Indian Oil Corp (number of shares traded: 1.13 crore), Reliance Communications (number of shares traded: 0.91 crore), South Indian Bank (number of shares traded: 0.59 crore), Punj Lloyd (number of shares traded: 0.50 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.42 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 0.40 crore) and Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 0.40 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.YES Bank (Rs 487.13 crore) was also leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.It was followed by Motherson Sumi (Rs 203.20 crore) , Indian Oil Corp (Rs 159.32 crore) , Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 147.46 crore) , PC Jeweller (Rs 143.88 crore) , Infosys (Rs 134.05 crore) , Maruti Suzuki (Rs 100.50 crore) , RIL (Rs 92.78 crore) , TCS (Rs 92.74 crore) and HDFC Bank (Rs 64.03 crore).The NSE Nifty index was trading 1.35 points up at 10,792.9, while BSE Sensex was up 26.93 points at 35,956.57 around 09:44 am.
In the Nifty index, Bharti Airtel (up 2.59 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 2.58 per cent), UltraTech Cement (up 1.64 per cent), YES Bank (up 1.57 per cent) and Grasim Industries (up 1.43 per cent) were among the top gainers.
HCL Technologies (down 1.39 per cent), UPL (down 0.95 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 0.81 per cent), Adani Ports Special Economic Zone (down 0.71 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India (down 0.68 per cent) were the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
