Major collaboration and video conferencing software vendors are now offering products to users at no extra cost in response to the spread of the coronavirus.
Concerns about the COVID-19 virus have led to a boom in remote working, as organizations encourage employees to stay home and a growing number of conferences are cancelled.
While many companies have seen their stock prices take a battering because of the disruption caused by the virus & the new York Stock Exchange was down sharply again Thursday & software vendors that enable remote work such as video conference software provider Zoom have seen stock prices climb dramatically.

Microsoft this week opened a private preview of its all-cloud Universal Print service to customers running Windows 10 Enterprise or Windows 10 Education.
Those customers also require an available Azure Active Directory (AAD) tenant, to which the personal computers accessing the cloud printing preview must be joined.
Elsewhere, Microsoft described Universal Print as "a Microsoft 365 subscription-based service;" it was unclear whether that meant only customers licensing Microsoft 365 - the subscription bundling Windows 10, Office 365 and a host of management and security tools - would be eligible for the preview, the final when it debuts or both.

Apple settled a class action lawsuit as a result of alleged battery throttling issues in its iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus and SE models. The settlement calls for Apple to pay consumers $25 per iPhone.
