NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Monday's morning session.
Shares of Wipro (up 2.25 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (up 1.53 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.54 per cent) were among the top performers in the index.
Infibeam Avenues (down 3.66 per cent), Tata Elxsi (down 3.11 per cent), Infosys (down 0.99 per cent) and MindTree (down 0.93 per cent) were trading with losses.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.19 per cent up at 15,067.75 around 10:52 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 59.35 points at 10,721.20 while the BSE Sensex was down 171.33 points at 35,854.21.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.
Shares of Zee Entertainment, YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Adani Ports SEZ, Ashok Leyland, SBI, Bank of Baroda, DLF and Larsen Toubro were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
