NEW DELHI: Most auto shares were trading in the green in Wednesday's morning session.
Shares of Exide Industries (up 2.19 per cent) , Tata Motors (up 1.24 per cent) , Apollo Tyres (up 1.23 per cent) and Tata Motors (up 0.94 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
Bosch (up 0.93 per cent), Eicher Motors (up 0.91 per cent) and Mahindra Mahindra (up 0.60 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.29 per cent up at 8144.10 around 09:59 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 20 points at 10,672.20 while the BSE Sensex was up 97.85 points at 35,690.35.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of Axis Bank, YES Bank, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Vodafone Idea, Zee Entertainment, Ashok Leyland, HCL Tech, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SAIL, Tata Steel, SBI, Vedanta, Bharti Infratel, RIL and Wipro were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
