NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading in the negative zone in Friday's morning session.Shares of Union Bank of India (down 0.80 per cent) , Bank of India (down 0.45 per cent) , State Bank of India (down 0.38 per cent) and Punjab National Bank (down 0.32 per cent) were the top losers in the index.Indian Bank (down 0.32 per cent) , Allahabad Bank (down 0.28 per cent) and Central Bank of India (down 0.15 per cent) too were trading with losses.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.22 per cent down at 3268.35 around 10:09 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.90 points at 11,612.60 while the BSE Sensex was up 66.45 points at 38,673.46.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, DLF, Ashok Leyland, BHEL, SAIL, Indian Oil Corp, Infosys, Bank of Baroda, SBI and BPCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
