NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading in the positive zone in Tuesday's morning session.Shares of YES Bank (up 5.57 per cent) , RBL Bank (up 2.87 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (up 0.49 per cent) and HDFC Bank (up 0.48 per cent) were trading higher.Federal Bank (up 0.37 per cent) , Axis Bank (up 0.27 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (up 0.22 per cent) and IDFC First Bank (up 0.12 per cent) too were trading in the green.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 31.90 points at 11,659.05 while the BSE Sensex was up 125.15 points at 39,375.35.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.06 per cent up at 29,534.65 around 09:52 am.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Tata Motors, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors (DVR), SBI, Ashok Leyland, Motherson Sumi, Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
