NEW DELHI: The BSE Midcap index was trading with gains in Wednesday's afternoon session.
Shares of Reliance Capital (up 4.95 per cent), Reliance Infrastructure (up 4.93 per cent), Natco Pharma (up 4.33 per cent), Housing and Urban Development Corp.
(up 4.02 per cent), Reliance Power (up 4.01 per cent), Alkem Labs (up 3.51 per cent), Reliance Communications (up 2.3 per cent), L-T Infotech (up 2.21 per cent), Crisil Ltd.
(up 2.0 per cent)and Page Industries (up 1.86 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Shriram Transport Finance (down 1.84 per cent), Mangalore Refineries (down 1.56 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 1.2 per cent), Varroc Engineering (down 1.14 per cent), Endurance Techno (down 1.13 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank (down 1.09 per cent), Jindal Steel - Power (down 1.04 per cent), National Aluminium Company (down 1.03 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals (down 1.02 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S-P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.25 per cent up at 15005.08 around 12:17 pm.
Benchmark NSE Nifty-50 index was up 23.55 points at 12192.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 89.71 points at 41343.45.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Spicejet, JSPL, Tata Motors, SAIL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, PowerGrid, Adani Green Energy and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
