In the third quarter of 2020-21, the FDI inflow grew by 37 per cent to $26.16 billionThe country attracted foreign direct investments (FDIs) worth$ 67.54 billionfrom April to December in 2020, registeringthe highest ever amount for the first ninth months of any financial year.
According to data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the total FDI amount was 22 per cent higher as compared to $ 55.14 billion received in the first ninth months of 2019-20.
The foreign direct investment equity inflow increased by 40 per cent to as much as $51.47 billion in the first nine months of the current financial year, compared to $36.77 billion in the year-ago period.In the third quarter of 2020-21, the FDI inflow grew by 37 per cent to $26.16 billion, compared to the corresponding quarter of 2019-20, when it was at $19.09 billion.
