Takeo Konishi, the Director General of South Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has called on Sri Lankas Minister of Power - Energy Kanchana Wijesekera.During the meeting, the progress of electricity sector reforms, policy loans to be extended, and ongoing programs with ADB funding including the hydropower plant in Moragolla were taken up for discussion.In addition, the renewable energy programs to be restructured, regional power cooperation, new finance schemes and grants for rooftop solar panels for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and low-income groups were also discussed at length.In attendance were ADBs Country Director Takafumi Kadono and officials of the ministry, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), and ADB.
