Particularly, it can remove attack drones, aerial bombs, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles at series of up to 3,000 metres. In addition, the system can engage helicopters, manned airplane, and reconnaissance drones at distances of approximately 5,000 metres.
It likewise has the ability to blind or interrupt sensing units on drones, cruise rockets, helicopters, and airplanes at ranges of up to 10,000 metres.During the demonstration, video footage showed the Tryzub in action versus both aerial and ground targets.
Significantly, the system was utilized to blind the cam of a fibre-optic FPV drone, showing its capability for electronic disturbance in addition to physical destruction.Although the Tryzub is equipped with an optoelectronic tracking station, the existing model counts on manual targeting.
An operator controls the system by means of joystick, but future variations are expected to include automated tracking and engagement. The system remains in the prototype phase however is currently operational sufficient to go through live testing.
Ukrainian authorities have confirmed that advancement has actually advanced rapidly, with the weapon first being discussed by Sukharevskyi in December 2024.
At that time, he highlighted that the Tryzub could shoot down airplane flying at altitudes beyond 2,000 metres.
By early 2025, even more testing exposed that the system was powerful enough to melt metal, enhancing its possible as a formidable addition to Ukraines layered air defence.Source: Defence Industry Europe
