Russian state prosecutors are looking for an almost 15-year jail sentence for former Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov on bribery and embezzlement charges, the Vedomosti business newspaper reported Monday.Ivanov, 49, who managed military building tasks, was arrested in April 2024, part of what would later on become a larger Kremlin crackdown on corruption within the Defense Ministry.Referred to in the Russian media as the attractive basic, Ivanov is the most senior military main arrested given that the 2022 intrusion of Ukraine.
