The Supreme Court has approved authorization to call former President Ranil Wickremesinghe as a respondent in Fundamental Rights (FR) petitions filed relating to the supposed authorities attack and distributing of a demonstration arranged by the Socialist Youth Union (SYU) in 2022.
The permission was granted by the court after considering a demand made by attorneys of the petitioning party when two petitions submitted by a group of members of the SYU were used up for factor to consider today (22 ).
