
Jayne Howell, a skilled career diplomat and member of the US Senior Foreign Service, has assumed tasks as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S.
Embassy in Colombo.Jayne Howell has comprehensive overseas experience, including recent posts as Minister-Counselor for Consular Affairs (MCCA) in both Pakistan and Trkiye, where she worked as the Ambassadors senior consultant on immigration and visa policy in addition to coordinated countrywide services for the countless American people visiting those countries each year, the U.S.
Embassy in Colombo said.She has likewise worked as the Consular Section Chief in Accra, Ghana; Harare, Zimbabwe; and Kabul, Afghanistan.In Washington, Jayne has Howell served in a number of senior leadership functions in the Bureau of Consular Affairs consisting of Deputy Executive Director, Supervisory Regional Consular Officer, and inaugural Director of 1CA, the Bureaus leadership and management quality program.
