TEHRAN-A solo exhibit including works from various durations of Aydin Aghdashloos career, consisting of paintings, sculptures, and other creations, is presently on screen at B Gallery in Tehran after a years.
Curated by Takin Aghdashloo, the exhibition provides 17 of Aghdashloos works, including seven paintings and 7 print art work from various stages of his artistic journey.
Nevertheless, the emphasize of the exhibition is 3 sculptures by the artist, shown to the general public for the very first time, Mehr reported.The sculpture collection includes 3 bronze pieces entitled Snow, Apocalypse, and Identity, each drawing from Aghdashloos popular visual world.In this collection, he reinterprets familiar themes from his paintings.
These sculptural works were produced in partnership with Art Mart and the Aghdashloo Foundation.The presented sculptures align with Aghdashloos distinct postmodern point of view, providing his elaborate visual language in a brand-new type.
Through these pieces, he extends his ideas on rationality, identity, and human self-respect, including new dimensions to his creative philosophy.
Aydin Aghdashloo is among Iran's popular modern and contemporary painters, renowned for his precise and masterful painting techniques.
His substantial body of work reflects deep influences from Iran's political and cultural landscape while engaging with international creative and philosophical discourse.His art draws motivation from diverse classical sources, from European Renaissance masterpieces to Persian miniature paintings and Islamic pottery.
Through these impacts, Aghdashloo presents a critical reflection on styles such as tyranny, cultural decay, and the destruction of human self-respect and beauty.The exhibit of Aghdashloos art work is held concurrently with the unveiling of his very first international monograph published by the Italian publishing company Skira.Iranian painter, graphic artist, writer, and movie critic Aydin Aghdashloo, 84, is understood for his portraits, making use of classical Italian and Persian imagery.The book uses a detailed evaluation of six decades of Aghdashloos continuous creative work.
Edited by Marco Menguzzo and Takin Aghdashloo, the 304-page essay is released in English and includes essays by David Anfam, Michel Dewilde, Marco Meneguzzo, and Zahra Faridani.Additionally, it includes a collection of twelve previous essays on Aghdashloo, composed by significant figures such as Abbas Kiarostami, Dariush Shayegan, and Bahram Beyzai.
Aydin Aghdashloo has held very few solo exhibits throughout his profession.
His last exhibit happened in 2014, and now, after a years, his works are when again on public display.The exhibit will be open to visitors up until April 10 at B Gallery, located at the Agora Building, No.
