The National Procurement Commission on Wednesday approved contracts for 31 projects totally worth about five billion afghanis.According to a statement released by the office of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs who chaired the commission's meeting, seven contracts were amended.The approved and amended projects include the completion of the remaining work on the Ab Gardan Storage Dam in Badghis province, the rehabilitation of a turbine at the Naghlu Power Plant, the provision of electrical equipment in various provinces, the provision of high-quality and fast telecommunications and internet services to citizens, the delivery of services at various customs across the country, the completion of a major water supply network in Qala-e-Naw city in Badghis province, among others.
