Latest Railway Jobs: Candidates applying for job must be in the age group of 18-28 years.Indian Railway has opened recruitment for its southern unit.
Hiring has opened for executive assistants, data entry operators and digital office assistants on a full-time contract basis, according to a notification by the Southern Railway, an arm of the Indian Railways.
The Southern Railway has invited online applications for a total of 95 vacancies, andany applications sent by post will not be entertained, the notification added.
The last date for candidates to submit their applications online is is June 30, according to the Railways.For the post of executive assistants (English), data entry operators and digital office assistants (English), candidates must be in the age group of 18-28 years.
In case the candidate is from scheduled tribe or scheduled caste category, a relaxation offive years in age requirement will be granted.
An age relaxation of three years is applicable tocandidates in the Other Backward Class (OBC) category, and 10 years in case of persons with disabilities, according to the Southern Railways notification.Application Fee For Southern Railway JobsThe candidates must have a BCA/B.Sc Computer Science or IT degree, or a degree in any discipline, and a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in MS Office 2010 or later versions, according to the Southern Railway.An application fee of Rs 500 is applicable toor candidates in the unreserved or OBCcategories.
Of this, an amount of Rs 400 will be refunded if the candidate appears for the screening test.
An application fee of Rs 250 is applicable to candidates in theSC/ST category.If the candidate appears for the screening test, a full refund of application fee will be made to the candidate, according to Southern Railway.Monthly Salary Details For Railway JobsThe monthly salary on successfully clearing the screening test will be Rs 18,500 for individuals posted in 'Z' class cities; Rs 20,000 for 'Y' class cities, and Rs 22,000 for 'X' class cities, according to the Southern Railway notification.The candidates should possess proficiency in computers and English.
The selection will be made through written/online screening test which will have 100 objective type questions in English only.
There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
One mark will be deducted for every three wrong answers, the Southern Railway added.
