NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 10:46AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.
Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 0.62 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 0.46 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.29 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent), MRF Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent), Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.7 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent) and Tube Investments of India Ltd.(down 0.38 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.13 per cent at 23948.65 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 11.05 points at 25449.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 40.08 points at 83392.81.
Live Events Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
Shares of JP Power, PC Jeweller, Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of J G Chemicals, Tourism Finance, California Soft, Reliance Naval & Engg and Niraj Ispat Ind.
hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Dreamfolks Services, Sadhana Nitro, SKIL Infrastructure, Equippp Social Impact and Globe Civil Projects hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
