Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank rallied 4.2% to their days high of Rs 2,237.35 on the BSE on Tuesday, July 8, after the private sector lender released its business update for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1FY26).According to provisional data disclosed by the bank, total average deposits for the June quarter stood at Rs 4,91,998 crore, reflecting a 12.9% year-on-year growth compared to Rs 4,35,603 crore in the same period last year.
On a sequential basis, average deposits rose 5% from Rs 4,68,486 crore reported in the March 2025 quarter.The banks end-of-period (EOP) total deposits stood at Rs 5,12,838 crore as of June 30, 2025, compared to Rs 4,99,055 crore as of March 31, 2025, and Rs 4,47,418 crore as of June 30, 2024.
This marks a year-on-year increase of 14.6% and a quarter-on-quarter growth of 2.8%.Kotak Mahindra Bank also reported average CASA (Current Account and Savings Account) deposits of Rs 1,91,995 crore during the June 2025 quarter, up 4.2% from Rs 1,84,306 crore a year ago and 2.1% higher than Rs 1,88,039 crore reported in the previous quarter.However, CASA deposits on an end-of-period basis came in at Rs 2,09,645 crore as of June 30, 2025, slightly lower than Rs 2,14,416 crore in the March quarter, indicating a 2.2% sequential decline.
On a year-on-year basis, EOP CASA deposits rose 7.9% from Rs 1,94,222 crore.Live EventsNet advances of the bank grew to Rs 4,44,731 crore as of June 30, 2025, compared to Rs 4,26,909 crore as of March 31, 2025, and Rs 3,89,957 crore as of June 30, 2024.
This represents a 14% year-on-year growth and a 4.2% rise over the previous quarter.On Monday, Kotak Mahindra Bank shares closed flat at Rs 2,147 on the BSE.
