The Afghan Foreign Ministry revealed late Thursday that Dmitry Zhirnov, the Russian Ambassador to Kabul, formally communicated the decision
of the Russian federal government during a meeting with Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, mentioning that Moscow formally
acknowledges the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA)
The ministry quoted Zhirnov as emphasizing the significance of this choice and describing it as a historic action toward enhancing relations
between Afghanistan and Russia.During the meeting, Muttaqi also welcomed Russia’& rsquo; s choice and described it as the beginning of a
new phase of favorable relations, shared respect, and useful engagement between the two countries.Muttaqi included that this practical
choice by Russia would be remembered as a major advancement in the history of bilateral relations and would work as a fine example for other
countries to take similar steps.He further stated that this relocation would lead to the additional growth of bilateral cooperation in
