The Congress staged a walkout after Rajnath Singh's speech ended and later its leaders raised the matter on social media and asked why the 'government was running away from questions'.On Wednesday, the government called an informal meeting of parties that have five or more members in Rajya Sabha.
The meeting was chaired by the defence minister.Apart from Rajnath Singh, the meeting was attended by Union ministers Piyush Goyal, Thaawarchand Gehlot, Prahlad Joshi and V Muraleedharan, and Rajya Sabha MPs Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma and T Siva.
