
(Representational Image: PTI)Nagpur will observe a 'janta' or voluntary curfew on Saturdays and Sundays till the end of this month to curb the spread of novel coronavirus cases in the city, the city's mayor said Wednesday.Nagpur district on Wednesday registered 2,052 new coronavirus cases, taking its tally to 57,482, according to the latest figures released by the local administration.Nagpur Mayor Sandip Joshi on Wednesday said the Janta curfew on Saturdays and Sundays would be observed during the remaining two weeks of this month.Amid surge in coronavirus cases in the city, the Nagpur mayor held a meeting with municipal commissioner Radhakrishnan B, corporators and local representatives.
