NEW DELHI: Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar on Tuesday said that there is no other leader like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and there is no alternative to him.“The country is marching ahead under his (Modi's) leadership.

We have joined the government to support him,” Ajit Pawar said.Responding to a question if some members in the Shinde group are unhappy over his inclusion in the ministry, Pawar said, "We all have decided to work together.There is no question of disgruntlement."Earlier today, Ajit Pawar inaugurated a new Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) party office near Mantralaya in Mumbai.

Ajit Pawar had claimed that the entire NCP was on his side.Meanwhile, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar has said that only the party of which he is president and Jayant Patil the Maharashtra unit chief should use his photograph.06:54Not 'googly', it is a robbery, Sharad Pawar on Ajit Pawar joining NDA"Only the party of which I am the national president and Jayant Patil the state president can use my photograph.

Those who betrayed my ideology and with whom I have ideological differences cannot use my photograph," Pawar told reporters.Ajit Pawar on Sunday took oath as deputy chief minister along with nine NCP MLAs.

Ajit resigned as LoP early on Sunday morning after a meeting with NCP MLAs.

The nine other NCP MLAs who took oath along with Ajit are Chagan Bhujbal, Dilip Walse-Patil, Hasan Mushriff, Dhananjay Munde, Dharmaraj Atram, Aditi Tatkare, Sanjay Bansode and Anil Patil.Soon after taking oath at Raj Bhavan, Ajit had staked claim to the party's name and symbol saying that 40 of the 54 MLAs have supported his move to join the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance state government.

The same evening, Sharad Pawar said that most MLAs will return to his camp in the days to come as Ajit's move was against NCP's political ideology.
