
KARACHI: One more meaningful eyewitness testified on Tuesday in an anti-terrorismism court that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker Zubair Charya was present when Baldia factory was set ablaze.
As per reports, the key eyewitness who had gone into hiding in fear of being eliminateed, had seemed before the ATC to record his statement against the MQM member, stating that he had been present inside the factory when it was set on fire.
The eyewitness revealed that Zubair had taken out a pfinalic bag out of his pocket and tossed the contents over the clothes at the unit go-down.
He went on to reveal that while the fire was eliminateing the workers, the accused had been smiling from afar looking the sight.
He had gone to state during the cross-examination that he had fled to Punjab in fear of being eliminateed, after which the court adjourned the hearing till April 3.On September 11 2012, at least 250 workers at Baldia factory were burnt alive over, what succeeding investigations revealed, extortion money issue.
