NEW DELHI: Shares of private banks were trading in the green in Tuesday's morning session.Shares of YES Bank (up 4.66 per cent), RBL Bank (up 2.80 per cent), Axis Bank (up 0.83 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.76 per cent), Federal Bank (up 0.43 per cent) and HDFC Bank (up 0.34 per cent) were among the top gainers in the index.While Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 1.13 per cent) and DCB Bank (down 0.73 per cent) were among the top losers.
The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.3 per cent up at 16,408.85 around 10:01 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 56.55 points at 11,683.7 while BSE Sensex was up 206.77 points at 39,456.97.
Among the 50 stocks in Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Tata Motors, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors (DVR), SBI, Ashok Leyland, Motherson Sumi, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and JSPL were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
