
Singapores Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) and European defence group MBDA have actually signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will lead the way for joint efforts to explore innovative and affordable solutions for countering drone threats.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of IMDEX Asia.The collaboration underscores a shared dedication from DSTA and MBDA to undertake technology sharing and jointly develop sophisticated technological options to enhance detection, identification and action against drones, in the middle of the fast-evolving threat landscape.With the increasing ease of access of drones, we see a growing need to handle their usage securely and successfully.
By integrating our strengths in this domain with MBDA, we intend to press the borders of drone defence and unlock the potential of clever capabilities that will even more reinforce the Singapore Armed Forces preparedness, stated DSTAs Deputy Chief Executive (Operations), Mr Roy Chan.We are delighted to sign this MOU with DSTA.
