[China] - Magnolia Award winners revealed at the 30th Shanghai TV Festival

The 30th Shanghai TV Festival concluded on Friday, June 27, 2025, with a star-studded closing event at the Lingang Performing Arts Center, where the prominent Magnolia Awards existed to honor excellence in tv production, efficiency and storytelling.Among the leading honors, the eight-episode series To the Wonder, adjusted from Li Juans acclaimed essay collection My Altay, won Best television Series (China).
The series also received the International Communication Award, recognizing its cross-cultural resonance and global impact.Fei Zhenxiang took home Best Director for She and Her Girls, a heartfelt drama motivated by the life of renowned female teacher Zhang Guimei.Song Jia, who depicted Zhang Guimei in the series, was awarded Best Actress in a Leading Role, marking her 2nd Magnolia win after The Brin in 2012.
Jin Dong won Best Actor in a Leading Role for his representation of previous Communist Party of China leader Xi Zhongxun in Echoes of the Northwest.
In the supporting classifications, Jiang Qiming won Best Supporting Actor for Escape from the Trilateral Slopes, while Jiang Xin received Best Supporting Actress for Romance in the Alley.
The Magnolia Awards also recognized worldwide productions and cross-genre works.
Winners of the International Communication Award consisted of: The 2025 Magnolia Awards highlighted a strong year for Chinese tv, celebrating engaging stories, nuanced efficiencies, and growing worldwide reach.
