The so-called 10 lectures on unity provided by Taiwan local leader Lai Ching-te have again exposed his ominous intent to count on foreign forces to seek Taiwan independence and use military means to pursue independence, a mainland representative stated on Wednesday.Chen Binhua, representative for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, made the remarks in response to concerns regarding Lais recent address, in which he touched upon cross-Straits relations.

Lais advocacy of the so-called defend Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Mazu is, in truth, a fight for the interests of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) alone and his fixation with Taiwan self-reliance.
