NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 193.42 points up at 83432.89 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Dreamfolks Services(down 12.12 per cent), Trent(down 11.92 per cent), Nuvama Wealth Mgmt(down 11.25 per cent), 52 Weeks Entertainment(down 11.11 per cent) and Benara Bearings(down 11.04 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 29 stocks closed in the green, while 21 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 55.71 points up at 25461.0.
On the BSE, Dreamfolks Services, Shree Rajasthan, Fine Line Circuits, Brand Realty and Kkrrafton Developers hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sindhu Trade, SML Isuzu, Sumeet Ind, Tourism Finance and Choice Intnl touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
