
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, commemorated martyrs who passed away in a major campaign in the war of resistance against Japanese hostility, in Yangquan of north Chinas Shanxi Province on Monday.At the monument square honoring the martyrs of the Hundred-Regiment Campaign throughout the war against Japanese aggression, Xi laid a flower basket to commemorate the martyrs, and then paid a visit to the memorial hall honoring this significant campaign.During the visit, Xi reviewed the history of the CPC leading both the military and civilians in the brave fight versus Japanese invaders, and discovered local efforts to perform advanced history education and promote the fantastic spirit of resisting aggression.
