
Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on young students to make every effort to be the foundation of the nation, develop a strong country and contribute to world peace.Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks throughout a check out to a memorial hall celebrating the Hundred-Regiment Campaign in Yangquan City, north Chinas Shanxi Province, where he had warm discussions with students and personnel on Monday.
The hope is reposed in you and the future comes from you, Xi stated, urging the young trainees to strive, advance, and be upright and pleased with their Chinese identity.The Hundred-Regiment Campaign occurred in northern China from August 1940 to January 1941 throughout the Chinese Peoples War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.Xi laid a flower basket in tribute to the martyrs of the campaign throughout the visit.Mondays go to held special significance, as it accompanied the anniversary of the July 7 Incident, also known as the Lugou Bridge Incident, which occurred in 1937 and marked the beginning of Chinas whole-nation resistance versus Japanese aggression, Xi said.The CPC was the pillar of the national resistance, said Xi, stressing that the Hundred-Regiment Campaign allowed the world to see the strong will and strength of the Party and the Chinese people in the resistance versus Japanese aggression.Xi stressed that China made tremendous sacrifices during the 14-year war of resistance.
