
The pubic have actually been urged to notify the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) of any unauthorized power cuts impose by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).
Appropriately, PUCSL Chairman Janaka Ratnayake advised all electrical energy consumers to inform the Commission, in writing, if any power cuts are being imposed.Further, the general public were also informed to notify the PUCSL of problems in this regard via their hotline-- 0775687387 (or WhatsApp ), email- [email protected] and fax-011 2 392 641.
This announcement can be found in the background of PUCSLs notice to CEB that ask for power cuts will not be green-lighted until 17 February 2023.
In a letter director to CEBs extra general manager, PUCSL chairman Janaka Ratnayake said the choice was taken with the objective of safeguarding the human rights of the 331,709 candidates sitting for the 2022 G.C.E.
