Shares of Wipro were last trading 4.16per cent higher at Rs 511.20 on the BSE.Share price of IT major Wipro Limited gained around five per cent on Thursday, May 6, after the company announced its partnership withTranscell Oncologics to transform vaccine safety assessment.
On Thursday, Wipro opened on the BSE at Rs 496.90, witnessing an intra day high of Rs 514.85 and an intra day low of Rs 487.45, in the trading session so far.
According to a regulatory filing by the software major to the BSE, Wipro announced its partnership with Transcell in order to strengthen vaccine safety using augmented intelligence or AI.According to the statement, the partnership or deal will combineTranscell Oncologic's stem cell technology with the advanced augmented intelligence facilities by Wipro, in order to improve the safety of the global vaccine immunisation programs.Wipro added in the statement that by applying augmented intelligenceto the vaccine development process, the final solution will becomecapable of predicting any adverse neurovirulent impacts resulting from vaccinations.
Presently, thevaccine safety assessment often includes testing on animals to measure the adverse effects.Biopharmaceutical companies and researchers have new and completely viable solution by using Wipro's technology.
The technology can also be integrated into an existing workflow, including batchwise release, quality control tests in vaccine production, and any other safety evaluation assays.On the NSE, Wipro opened at Rs 493.70, registering an intra day high of Rs 514.80 and an intra day low of Rs 487.25, in the session so far.
It was last trading 4.19 per cent higher at Rs 511.15 on the NSE.Shares of Wiprowere last trading 4.16per cent higher at Rs 511.20 on the BSE.
