NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:09AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.
Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 3.69 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.56 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.35 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Canara Bank(down 0.63 per cent), Bank of Baroda(down 0.54 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.38 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent) and Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.32 per cent at 57132.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 9.25 points at 25452.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 5.19 points at 83437.31.
Live Events Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.
Shares of JP Power, RattanIndia Power, Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller and Alok Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of California Soft, Reliance Naval & Engg, Sumeet Ind, Kavveri Telecom and TN Telecom hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Nectar Lifesc, Sadhana Nitro, Dreamfolks Services, Globe Civil Projects and Visa Steel Ltd hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
