NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.
Tube Investments of India Ltd.(up 1.49 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 1.2 per cent), MRF Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 0.32 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.28 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(down 0.8 per cent) and Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.46 per cent at 23945.25 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 17.25 points at 25107.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 123.59 points at 82323.93.
Live Events Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.
Shares of Eternal, Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller, Swiggy and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Lords Chloro, Viji Finance, Eternal, Sambhv Steel Tubes and Spaceage Products hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ortel Communications, Mask Investments, Raymond Realty, Stampede Cap and Gayatri Project hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
