NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:25AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.
ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.04 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent) and Federal Bank Ltd.(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 2.75 per cent), Canara Bank(down 2.25 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 1.65 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent) and Bank of Baroda(down 0.82 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.27 per cent at 57106.2 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 30.1 points at 25120.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 170.07 points at 82370.41.
Live Events Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.
Shares of Eternal, Vodafone Idea, PC Jeweller, Swiggy and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Lords Chloro, Viji Finance, Eternal, Sambhv Steel Tubes and Bhartiya Intnl hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ortel Communications, Mask Investments, Gayatri Project, Raymond Realty and IL&FS Engg Const hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
