
A Chinese Peoples Liberation Army Navy fleet led by the warship Shandong arrived in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Thursday morning, starting a five-day check out to the region.The HKSAR government held a grand welcome event.
On behalf of the HKSAR federal government and locals, I want to extend a warm welcome to the arrival of the naval fleet, HKSAR Chief Executive John Lee stated in a speech at the event.From Friday to Sunday, the fleet will open to regional homeowners, and carry out interactive activities consisting of training demonstrations and national defense knowledge lectures.
The events are intended to provide residents a direct, in-depth understanding of Chinas advancements in nationwide defense and military advancement in the brand-new period, according to Chinas Ministry of National Defense.
