A system manager of the Mahaweli Authority, who got a bribe of Rs.
20,000, has been jailed on bribery charges.The arrest was made by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) following a grievance lodged by a homeowner of Welikanda.According to the grievance, the Mahaweli Authority had assigned a plot of land in the Athugala area to the plaintiff under the Ranaviru Fund to construct a home.
