NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 10:51AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.
Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 0.27 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.
TVS Motor Company Ltd.(down 1.49 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), Tube Investments of India Ltd.(down 1.37 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.7 per cent at 23775.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 22.75 points at 25438.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 36.43 points at 83406.07.
Live Events Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.
Shares of JP Power, RattanIndia Power, Alok Industries, Vodafone Idea and PC Jeweller were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of California Soft, Reliance Naval & Engg, Sumeet Ind, Kavveri Telecom and TN Telecom hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Nectar Lifesc, Sadhana Nitro, TECIL Chemicals, Dreamfolks Services and Globe Civil Projects hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
