A Chinese mainland representative on Monday slammed Lai Ching-te, leader of the Taiwan area, for providing a blatant Taiwan independence manifesto aimed at prompting cross-Straits confrontation.Chen Binhua, representative for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, made the remarks in action to Lais speech on Sunday. The speech was rife with lies, deception, hostility and justification, said Chen.
It deliberately distorted and severed history, he said.Lai peddled separatist rhetoric and the misconception of Taiwan independence, trying to make a patchwork of validations for his narrative, stated Chen.It served as propaganda to advance his political program of the so-called mass recall for selfish political gains, the spokesperson said. This was nothing however an outright Taiwan independence manifesto targeted at inciting cross-Straits fight –-- a jumble of fallacies and heresies filled with mistakes and flaws that laid bare his nature as an obstinate advocate of Taiwan self-reliance, stated Chen.
