The Department of Meteorology today issued Special Advisory for Heavy rain, Strong winds and Rough seas for Low pressure area over north Andaman sea and adjoining south-east Bay of Bengal (For multi day Boats) says that A low pressure area has developed in the north Andaman sea and adjoining South-east Bay Of Bengal Sea area , near latitude 12.8N, longitude 90.6E. It is very likely to move northwestwards, concentrate into a depression over east-central Bay of Bengal during next 06 hours. It is also very likely to intensify further into a cyclonic storm and move northwestwards during subsequent 48 hours.Those who are engaging in Naval and fishing activities in the above sea area are requested to be attentive about future advisories issued by the Department of Meteorology in this regard.

LOT Polish Airlines resumes flights to Sri Lanka

Strengthening the Sri Lanka Tourism sector, LOT Polish Airlines announced that it will operate direct flights to Colombo from Warsaw from November 3.LOT will fly from Warsaw to Sri Lanka with flights being operated seasonally, with three weekly flights between November 3 and March 28, on its modern fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
